Molecular Biologist/Biochemist Position*
A contract scientist position is available to assist in scientific and 
technical oversight of a multi-disciplinary research program using 
molecular, genetic and biochemical approaches for assessing the health 
status of marine organisms. The focus of the work will be on 
scleractinian corals and their associated microbial communities. The 
research may be conducted collaboratively with investigators from 
academic, state and other federal institutions. The work location is at 
the NOAA National Ocean Service, Center for Coastal Environmental Health 
and Biomolecular Research (CCEHBR), Charleston, SC. Qualifications: 
Masters Degree with three years of research experience or Ph.D. Degree 
in Cellular/Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or other relevant 
discipline. The candidate must demonstrate technical competency in 
advanced genomics or proteomics. Experience in developing, planning, and 
implementing research projects, as well as communication and 
interpersonal skills, is also required.  Experience in working with 
invertebrate systems is desirable. Salary: $50,541 p.a. and includes
