Reefs in the Florida Keys are now experiencing very high sea temperatures
(over 32degC in some cases). The daily temps can be seen at,
http://www.coral.noaa.gov/cman/cman_menu.html
and historical (i.e., yesterday's and before) can be seen at,
http://www.neptune.noaa.gov
If anybody diving in the Keys notices any coral bleaching, please let us
know. The feedback will be helpful in refining the Coral Reef Early
Warning System (CREWS), a data-driven expert system for coral bleaching
"alerts", posted daily (as they occur) at,
http://www.coral.noaa.gov/sferpm/seakeys/es
Thank you.
Cheers,
Jim Hendee
