condition of reefs at Kargh Island....

I am writting a book to be published in conjunction with an IMAX film whose
topic is coral reefs.  Can anybody tell me what the condition of the reefs
around Kargh Island in the Persian Gulf currently are?  This was held up as
an example by the oil industry, 40 years ago, of an area not impacted by oil
drilling when drilling on the Great Barrier Reef was the issue.
