> Prerequisites:  Recognized SCUBA certification, a medical examination, one

> a course designed for students interested in learning about coral reef
> ecology and conservation in an environment where these topics are of
> immediate concern.  Students will spend four weeks in Akumal, Mexico, a
> small resort town located about 60 miles south of Cancun on the Caribbean
> coast of the Yucatan Peninsula.  Housing will be provided by the Centro
