<DIV align=left><FONT face=Tahoma>Dear coral-listers:<BR><BR>This notice is to
report the presence of several Diploria strigosa, and a<BR>few Montastrea
annularis, colonies showing sings of White Plague type II in<BR>Puerto Morelos
Reef, Mexican Caribbean. Affected colonies were first<BR>observed by the
end of June 2001 and their numbers are apparently increasing.<BR><BR>No other
species have been observed affected by this disease in the<BR>area. Some
infected colonies are being tagged in order to follow the<BR>progression of the
disease.</FONT></DIV>
