[Coral-List] Discarding glass in the ocean

[Greenforce Bahamas]

Dear coral listers, 

I have heard that discarding smashed glass in the ocean may be a viable option to recycling the material in remote areas with no viable alternatives to recycling or adequate lanfill control. Any opinions??? We are located near the Tongue of the Ocean, a deep trench 6000ft + in the Bahamas and would like to consider this method if found to be agreeable.
