Reef Guardian Sdn. Bhd., a Sandakan based company, seeks a qualified
applicants to fill management / supervisory positions.

Reef Guardian Sdn. Bhd. – is a private sector cooperative / joint managing
company appointed through an approved agreement with Sabah Wildlife
Department for assisting in the overall area management of the newly formed
Sugud Islands Marine Conservation Area [SIMCA] located in the Labuk-Sugud
District north of Sandakan.

Position Available:	Marine Conservation Biologist

Duties to include but limited too:

-	Directly assists in the Assess-Cleanup-Monitor-Restore [ACMR] program
management for SIMCA coral reefs and islands
-	Assists in public presentations of Reef Guardian & SIMCA for VIP rep. &
Groups
-	Assists in a Reef Guardian & SIMCA Web page design & public information
dissemination efforts
-	Assist in any associated scientific report editing & writing
-	Assist in the drafting of quarterly & annual reports of SIMCA action &
progress to Sabah State Gov. agencies

Position Qualifications:

-	Malaysian citizen
-	Degree holder, minimum BS or BA from a recognized national or
international institution
-	Certification in SCUBA
-	Excellent health
-	Field experienced and able to live and work in an island based community
for extended periods of time
-	Three independent letters of reference
-	Fluent in both written and spoken Bahasa Malayu
-	Fair to good knowledge of written and spoken English
-	Experience & ability to train and supervise marine technicians

Position Available:	Marine Conservation Area Security Chief

Duties to include but limited too:

-	Manage all aspects of marine security of the marine conservation area
[46,000 hectares] including 3 islands
-	Assist in the operation of an island-based computerized radar security
system
-	Experience & ability to train and supervise a security patrol team
-	Experience & ability to operate patrol craft – 30ft / outboard motor type
-	Computer and radio communication systems skills a plus for any applicant

Position Qualifications:

-	Malaysian citizen
-	Military, police and/or security supervisory & management experience no
less than 1 year with some concurrent experience in marine related duties a
plus but not a strict requirement
-	Three independent letters of reference
-	Fluent in both written and spoken Bahasa Malayu
-	Fair knowledge of written and spoken English
-	Excellent health
-	Field experienced and able to live and work in an island based community
for extended periods of time
