[Coral-List] Artificial Reefs

Dear Listers, 

I am currently studying at the Australian Maritime College, as an undergraduate, completing a Bachelor of Administration (Marine Resources) degree. As part fulfillment of the degree, I need to complete a mini thesis, and I was wondering if anybody had any information regarding using derelict vessels to form an artificial reef for fish species, and also if there were any evidence of AR's actually causing the proliferation of new life?
