[Coral-List] re: job listings and resumes

Dear list ,
I really want to add a small point to this discussion.
When I finished college (1997) I did look into this list and I have remained a member since. However, it never occurred to me to post my resume or plight deliberately to the list. I did my leg work of finding out who was in the list, who matched my interests, what was their mail (post) address, and wrote letters addressing each person. I had a ton of negative replies, made some contacts, and in less than a month I did find a dream job this way (low paying, but very rewarding) which I had to leave because of pregnancy (life does get in the way of dreams). 
To end the point, I think recently graduated scientists also need to become independent of copy/pasting messages into lists in an effort(less) to find a job.
DO make the effort and the leg work. Electronic age is way too facilitating some times.
