[Coral-List] 1st Announcement - ICRI General Meeting, Palau

Dear Colleagues,

The Governments of the Japan and the Republic of Palau, as co-hosts of
the International Coral Reef Initiative (ICRI) Secretariat, in
conjunction with the UNEP World Conservation Monitoring Centre, are
pleased to announce that the first General Meeting of the incoming
secretariat will be held in Koror, Palau. 

Date: Monday 31st October - Wednesday 2nd November, 2005 
Venue: Ngarachamayong Cultural Center, Koror, Palau 
Hotel accommodation: Palau Royal Resort - Inclusive deal (standard room
USD100; Suite USD135).

All Information regarding the , agenda and documentation for this
meeting will be made available in the run up to the meeting. Discussions
of matters to be taken up at the meeting will also be held on the
discussion forum. If members have matters that they wish to raise at the
ICRI GM, please send these by email to icri at unep-wcmc.org by the 7th
August for discussion by the Secretariat. 

Exhibit space will available for approximately 20 exhibits at the
Ngarachamayong Cultural Center, site of the ICRI general meeting. These
spaces will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis (More

If you would like to register your interest to participate please

Note: the 14th U.S. Coral Reef Task Force meeting will take place on 2
days, Saturday, November 5th and Monday, November 7th. Thus, the USCRTF
intend to provide opportunities on Thursday, November 3rd for ICRI and
CRTF members to meet, share ideas, lessons learned and discussion future
plans and priorities. 

Further details to assist participants in making preparations to attend
this meeting will be announced in the near future. Please be advised
that participants are asked to make their own travel, accommodation and
visa arrangements. Should you require a hard copy letter of invitation
