[Coral-List] Courses in Underwater Photography and Videography in Australia

Colleagues - fantastic courses in Underwater Photography and Videography are
now available in Australia!

Many researchers, teachers and workers in marine environments need skills in
underwater photography and/or videography, but there is little significant
education or training available in this field anywhere in the world.
However, James Cook University in North Queensland, Australia, now offers
high quality study programs in both Underwater Photography and Videography.

Situated in Cairns, right next to the Great Barrier Reef, these intensive
courses offer participants the opportunity to greatly increase their
knowledge base, hone existing skills and learn a host of new ones in one of
the best and safest coral reef environments on Earth. Since each course
lasts around 17 days, they can be completed while visiting Australia on a
tourist visa - a special Student Visa is NOT required.

Being university based, these courses can, if you wish, be taken for
academic credit in a variety of university programs both within Australia
and abroad. They are taught by world-renowned professionals who have
enviable international publication records for their photography and video
documentary work in conjunction with university staff.

These courses are available with no academic prerequisites and can therefore
be taken by students who are not, or have never been connected with a
university system (e.g. people working in the diving and tourism
industries). Naturally, particular diving prerequisites do apply. Class size
is limited to 16 students and equipment is supplied, or you can bring your
own.
