I wish to announce a joint funding opportunity for Marine Conservation
research.  This is a joint effort of the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line and
the Education and Research Department of the Curacao Sea Aquarium.

Call for Proposal

Marine Conservation Grant:  Sponsored by Adventure of the Seas, Royal
Caribbean International.


The cruise ship "Adventure of the Seas" was recently awarded the
"Environmentally Innovative Ship of the Year" by Royal Caribbean
International.  The ship's crew has chosen to donate the award money
toward field research projects, in the area of marine conservation.  The
"Adventure of the Seas" is soliciting proposals from individual
researchers and students who are interested in performing field research
in Curacao, Netherlands Antilles.  Two research projects (US$3,000 each)
will be selected from the proposals submitted prior to the closing date
listed below.   

Funding Area:
Marine conservation research in Curacao, Netherlands Antilles.

Applicants:
Individual researchers
University or College students


Requirements:
.	Studies must take place in Curacao, and researches must utilize
the marine laboratory equipment and facilities within the Curacao Sea
Aquarium. (www.curacao-sea-aquarium.com)
.	Funding must be used for room and board, rental of laboratory
and equipment at the Curacao Sea Aquarium.
.	Clearly deliver appropriate outputs (ie, research report,
scientific publication).

.	General Information:
1.	Project Title
2.	Full name of researcher
3.	Contact information
4.	Name of university or organization.
5.	Summary of previous research projects

.	Project Details
1.	Project abstract & objectives
2.	Scientific & practical methods
3.	Timeline
4.	Project outputs (ie, report, videos, scientific publications)
5.	Budget (itemized plan).  Rental costs can be obtained by
