Dear Coral Listers,
In replying to John Jermier's request for information on Xcalak I realised I
never put the links for the report series Global Vision International
started last year.
The first annual reports for Pez Maya (Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve) and
Mahahual are available in English and Spanish from the following links.
I hope you will find them interesting, they detail an analysis of a huge
data set collected throughout 2004/2005.
These reports will be of interest to anyone working in the MBRS region, with
information on coral health, bleaching, disease etc. and reef associated
fish along with much much more. The data was collected using non-specialist
volunteers following a rigorous training and testing programme detailed
within the reports. A small warning that they are 3 or 4MB pdf files and may
take a little while to download depending on your connection speed. If you
wish for smaller files I can email those to you, but the resolution on
pictures and graphs will be affected.
