If you know of  undergraduate students that would be interested in a summer program of study in Tropical Marine Biology and Conservation; please pass this 
notice along to  them. Student participants will register for 3 lower division semester hours: Coral Reef Ecology and Ecological Field Experiences.

Marine Biology Class in Australia- June 8 to July 1, 2007

Phoenix College will team up with, Australia's Whitsunday Training to 
offer a unique opportunity to study marine biology abroad. The spotlight 
will be on the inner workings of coral reefs and their incredibly 
diverse flora and fauna. John Schampel, of Phoenix College, and Tony 
Fontes, of OUCH, will be your teachers and guides. Classroom activities 
will include reef talks, workshops and readings. Field activities will 
include guided nature walks and snorkeling or scuba diving excursions 
led by trained naturalists and guides. The program will include four day 
trips to the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef and a 
three-day live aboard dive trip on the GBR.
