[Coral-List] GCRMN Meetings in Cozumel

To People attending the ITMEMS 3 & ICRI General Meetings in Cozumel,
Mexico

 

The GCRMN (Global Coral Reef Monitoring Network) will hold meetings for
people interested in monitoring in Cozumel 15 October, 17 October and
possibly others if required:

 

On Sunday 15 October, NOAA, USA, with the GCRMN and others will hold a
workshop on the '2005 Caribbean Bleaching Event: Response and
Assessment.' A Workshop for Caribbean Coral Reef or MPA Managers,
Enforcement Officers, Field Biologists & Interested Parties; time 13.00
to 17.30 with presentation of results and discussions on responses,
including the preparation of multi-authored papers to document the
effects. All invited;




 

On Tuesday 17 October 17.30 to 18.30 (venue to be decided) there will be
a GCRMN Node Coordinators and reef monitoring meeting to summarise past
activities and answer questions on monitoring & assist in grant
applications. People will have the chance to meet others involved in
monitoring including the GCRMN Management Group. 

 

The GCRMN Management Group will meet again on Thursday 19 October 2006
17.30 to 18.30 and again on Sunday 22 October 2006 13.00 to 14.00 or
17.30 to 18.30.
