Professor and Director of Coastal Biology Flagship Program

The Department of Biology at the University of North Florida seeks to hire a senior faculty member with an emphasis in coastal or marine systems to serve as the director of the newly created Flagship Program in Coastal Biology. We invite applications for this 12-month tenured position at the Associate or Full Professor level. The successful candidate will be expected to have a record of excellence in scholarship and a demonstrated commitment to teaching at the undergraduate and Master's levels. Approximately half of the successful applicant's responsibilities will involve directing and developing the new Coastal Biology Program into a nationally recognized center for coastal research and education. The director will be expected to develop educational programs, organize seminars on coastal topics, assist the department's faculty with creating a new Coastal Biology emphasis for undergraduate and graduate students and foster collaborations within the university as well as with local, state, and federal agencies.
