Dear coral-list members,

I am currently looking for information about the association between
groupers and sweepers or glassfish (Pempheridae, I think the latter
species are).
I often see huge schools of glassfish/sweepers (Pempheridae) under a
table coral, when diving on coral reefs in Indo-Pacific. In the middle
of the school you can always see a dark or black grouper. However,
chasing down published papers, or book pages on this association seems
difficult. According to BBC Blue Planet series movie no. 6, it is a
mutualistic
symbiose. But where are the published paper(s) (or book chapters, or
pages) on this topic? Would anybody know of any refereed papers
published on this
subject, then please contact me via my e-mail: arvedlund at speedpost.net

Cheers, Mike Arvedlund
