I'm pleased to announce the posting of a vacancy for a Supervisory 
Coastal Program Manager, ZA-0301-5, within the National Ocean Service's 
Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management (OCRM) in Silver Spring, 
MD.  This position opened today, July 5, 2007 and closes on August 6, 2007.

The duties of the position include, but are not limited to: serving as 
the Program Manager for the NOAA Coral Reef Conservation Program (CRCP); 
guiding and directing NOAA's Coral Policy; 
implementing the Coral Reef Conservation Act; leading and 
overseeing the NOAA Coral Reef Conservation Program Matrix; 
managing the NOS Coral Reef Conservation Team; building 
consensus on major policy directions and priorities; serving as 
a representative on the Ecosystem Goal Team (EGT) 
representing CRCP's interests and priorities; directing the 
development of CRCP's budget, annual planning and programming 
documents; ensuring that CRCP plans and activities are consistent 
with strategic goals; ensuring that CRCP plans and activities are 
integrated to the greatest extent possible with priorities of other 
programs; directing the development of CRCP's annual program operating 
plan; evaluating program requirements and needs from a budgetary, 
legislative, and technical standpoint; briefing senior leadership on 
the status and success of CRCP initiatives; representing the Coral Team 
to OCRM leadership; working cooperatively with other OCRM Division 
Chiefs and the CRCP program; and conducting the full range 
of supervisory duties- including recruitment, task prioritization, 
performance evaluation and disciplinary actions, contract oversight, and 
daily task management for contract staff.
