Dear John, I suggest SEPM (Society for Sedimentary Geology)
http://www.sepm.org/journals/journalhome.htm They have 8 photo CDs.
I recommend CD 1 titled: Marine Carbonates 1: Models, Seismic
Response, and the Qaternary of Florida/Bahamas edited by Peter A.
Scholle and Noel P. James and or CD No 8, Caribbean Carbonates:
Belize, Mexico, Jamaica, Cayman Island, Bonaire, Barbados, and
Bermuda (same editors). No 2 is probably the best for your purposes.
These CDs contain well over 1000 digitized underwater
photographs...lots of reefs (pre 1980s) when Acropora and other
corals were in their prime. They are intended for educational uses.
Bob Ginsburg at RSMAS may have the complete set of CDs. Gene
