[Coral-List] Old Acropora stands

Dear John, I suggest  SEPM (Society for Sedimentary Geology)  
http://www.sepm.org/journals/journalhome.htm   They have 8 photo CDs. 
I recommend CD 1 titled: Marine Carbonates 1: Models, Seismic 
Response, and the Qaternary of Florida/Bahamas edited by Peter A. 
Scholle and Noel P. James and or CD No 8, Caribbean Carbonates: 
Belize, Mexico, Jamaica, Cayman Island, Bonaire, Barbados, and 
Bermuda (same editors). No 2 is probably the best for your purposes. 
These CDs contain well over 1000 digitized underwater 
photographs...lots of reefs (pre 1980s) when Acropora and other 
corals were in their prime. They are intended for educational uses. 
Bob Ginsburg at RSMAS may have  the complete set of CDs.  Gene
