Regarding Josh Cinner's thread on socioeconomic aspects of MPA design, 
please also note:

The MPA Virtual Library is browseable by subject-based theme bins, 
including theme bins for "MPA Design" and "Social Science/Economics".  See:

One can also use the main search engine of the MPA Virtual Library, to 
do a combined search.  For instance, click on 'controlled keywords list' 
to paste:
"marine parks and reserves--design" into the keywords field; then type 
social in the Search All Fields above field.
