Project Manager - Eastern Channel Marine Conservation Zones project

Natural England is looking for a project manager to make a real difference to the natural environment of  south east England's  coastal and offshore waters.  This permanent contract post will deliver the region's contribution to the new Marine Bill through the development of Marine Conservation Zones in the Eastern English Channel.  

The project manager will be employed by Natural England but is likely to be seconded to an external organisation located in the south east.   The post will have  responsibility for further developing, designing and delivering this exciting and challenging opportunity for marine conservation.  The stakeholder- led project is anticipated to run for a period of 3 years after which the project manager will be expected to work flexibly across other Natural England projects in  the region.

Applicants must have excellent project management and leadership skills and experience in working closely with partners and stakeholders. A good understanding of a broad range of marine issues and knowledge of the science and policy of marine protected areas will be valuable.  A driving licence is essential as travel nationally and within the region will be required.

Salary: £29000-39750, a non-contributory pension scheme, 30 days annual leave as well as public and privilege leave..
