[Coral-List] Pearl farms and coral reefs

Dear listers,

Does anyone have information on the impacts of pearl farming & other
forms aquaculture [with the exclusion of fish cages] on coral reefs ?
We have high latitude reefs here with species / communities at their
range limits.
