Just a reminder that the deadline to apply for this position is March 3, 2008. 
 
The University of the Virgin Islands invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor of Natural Resource Management position to begin in August 2008. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher, scholar, and practitioner who is interested in being part of a new interdisciplinary Master's program in marine and environmental science (http://mmes.uvi.edu/). Although the successful candidate will be expected to teach core and elective courses in his/her area of expertise, as well as possible undergraduate courses, s/he will also be encouraged to take advantage of the many opportunities for research in natural resource management in the Virgin Islands (http://epscor.uvi.edu/).
 
Applicants must possess a PhD in the Sciences or Social Sciences that is related to natural resource management, and both teaching and applied natural resource management experience. Candidates with a background in management of small island coastal and marine environments are especially encouraged to apply.
