Dear AllenIt is true as Tom says.....
researchers here in Shikoku, Japan have been looking at the pattern of coral larvae settlement and coral species abundance. They have found out that the larvae of some tropical coral species which swim along the Kuroshio current have been settling here in Shikoku waters (it is high-latitude!!) also there have been reports of observations on some tropical coral species here....
It is not just the case with Corals...also the tropical coral-reef fishes....they have been increasing here in Shikoku from past years...

So definitely...shift has begun.....
