[Coral-List] The Earth Hour in Colombia

WWF-Corferias and ICRI Colombia at the closure of the First International Environmental Fair in Bogotá (8pm March 29, 2008), will celebrate The Earth Hour http://www.earthhour.org/ along with millions of people in some of the world’s major capital cities to switch off for Earth Hour; as a symbolic act to promote environmental friendly habits (e.g. reduction of energy / fuel consumption). This environmental campaign will be supported by the Colombian Focal Point of ICRI during the International Year of the Reef, since coral reefs are ecosystems impacted by global warming and direct anthropogenic impacts.
 
This is an invitation to you: coral reef scientists, coral reef managers and / or coral reef environmentalists to join us planning and executing activities like this to serve as multipliers of environmental education in your country during IYOR 2008 www.iyor.org
