[Coral-List] Blank Coral-List Messages: Hint

Colleagues,

This issue of why some messages go out to the list blank, while
others don't, is somewhat of a mystery to us, except it seems to have
something to do with whether or not you send the messages as
attachments, as HTML, or as plain text.

To make life easier on everybody, please send your messages as just
plain ASCII text, rather than as HTML, or as attached documents (even if
the attached are in plain text). If you have to, just cut &
paste--that's the easiest way. One way that works well is to cut (copy)
the text from your, say, Word document and paste it into a plain text
editor. Take a look at that text that was pasted and you might see
weird characters that you want to edit out, or close up the spacing or
something. It also eliminates those bothersome (because it can delete
your post) little pictures in your signature. Then cut/copy THAT text
into your email message to coral-list at coral.aoml.noaa.gov.

    Thanks...Jim
