[Coral-List] Bleaching observed in Dubai, UAE (Arabian Gulf)

Widespread coral bleaching has been observed in corals associated with the
windward face of breakwaters in Dubai UAE to a depth of 7 m. Bleaching
affected most species observed, with the most extensive bleaching in Porites
spp.  Favia spp were least affected, although most colonies showed partial
bleaching/discoloration. This bleaching event has been in progress for over
a week at this point.

Relatively little bleaching was observed on leeward breakwater sites and at
two natural reef sites to the west of Dubai in the Jebel Ali area.
