Irish Sea Marine Conservation Zone Project

The UK Government's vision is to recover and protect the richness of our
marine wildlife and environment through the development of a strong,
ecologically coherent and well-managed network of marine protected areas
(MPAs) that is understood and supported by all sea-users by 2012.

In the waters around England and Wales, including adjacent UK offshore
waters, these national MPAs will be called Marine Conservation Zones
(MCZs). Marine Conservation Zones aim to conserve and promote the
recovery of marine biodiversity including representative and rare and
threatened species and habitats.

Envirolink Northwest - a not for profit organisation based in the
northwest of England - has been awarded the contract for the Irish Sea
MCZ Project - one of four regional MCZ projects being established by
Natural England and the Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC), in
collaboration with Defra. We are now looking to recruit a

*	Project Manager
*	Communications Co-ordinator
*	MPA Network Planner

for this challenging and exciting initiative.
