_Position Title_: Natural Resource Specialist II-III-IV/Artificial Reef 
Specialist

_Agency_: Coastal Fisheries Division, Texas Parks & Wildlife Department 
(TPWD)

_Job Location_: Dickinson Marine Lab, TX

_Responsibilities_: Performs highly advanced natural resources work in 
the Artificial Reef Program (Program). Work involves functioning as the 
Program Diving Safety Officer and supervising the Dive Master and others 
in planning and conducting scientific dives. Responsible for the diving 
program and its adherence to established Program and American Academy of 
Underwater Sciences' (AAUS) diving safety standards and reporting 
requirements. Assures all dive equipment is maintained and serviced 
properly. Conducts underwater natural resources surveys; assists in 
investigative research, studies, and inspections; conducts field or 
laboratory tests. Responsible for developing dive plans and assigning a 
Dive Master to oversee the operations, as appropriate. Interacts 
verbally and in writing with the general public and scientific 
community. Works under general direction of the Program Coordinator with 
extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. 
Additional duties as assigned. Complies w/ all rules, regulations, and 
procedures.
