[Coral-List] Bleaching in the Mexican Caribbean

Dear Rosa,

just a few questions form a student interested in coral bleaching.
Are there any records of sea surface temperature along the coast?
 From your locations it looks like the bleaching progressed from south  
(Mahahual Reef) to north (Puerto Morelos). I guess that warming has  
happened in the same direction.
And another question. Has it happened before, that almost all  
scleractinian species have bleached or was it confined to a few  
species in earlier events?
