[Coral-List] Ph.D. Position on Cnidarian Physiology in Monaco

A Ph.D.
position on cnidarian physiology is available at the Centre Scientifique de
Monaco (CSM) within the Physiology / Biochemistry team. The position, available
from October 2010, will be based at CSM and students will be enrolled in the “Ecole
Doctorale Diversité du Vivant” at the University Pierre and Marie Curie, Paris.
The Ph.D. student will be supported by a monthly stipend of 1500 Euros from the
Centre Scientifique de Monaco for 3 years.
 
The
research will use live cell imaging to investigate the influence of environmental
parameters on intracellular pH in cnidarians. The research will compliment
existing research programmes on coral physiology at CSM (e.g. see Venn et al. 2009
PNAS 106:16574–16579). Further details on current research at CSM can be
