Dear Coral-listers,

The Organizing Committee for the 39th Annual Benthic Ecology Meeting (BEM2010) is pleased that nearly 700 participants have already registered for the meeting, including participants from Australia, France, Mexico, Germany, Israel, Netherlands, Russian Federation, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, UK, and Canada. The meeting will be held on the campus of UNC Wilmington, 10-13 March 2010 with ~360 talks in 4 concurrent sessions, ~200 posters, and ~20 film festival entrants.
The largest number of oral or poster presentations (86) will be in sessions on Coral Reef Ecology or Coral Reef Restoration (the latter session organized by Diego Lirman) -- talks in these two sessions will take place over 2 full days.

You can see the meeting schedule at this link: http://www.benthicecologymeeting2010.org/

Although abstract submission has closed, you can still register for the meeting at the same link.
The registration fee is only $175 ($100 for students) for the 4 day event, and hotels start at $62/night, quad occupancy. The meeting is being held in the state-of-the-art meeting rooms of the new Burney and Fisher Centers at UNCW, with food services provided by ARA catering - see the website for more details.
Exhibitors and sponsors are most welcome, and should contact Amy Finelli at finellia at uncw.edu<mailto:finellia at uncw.edu>

Thanks,
