[Coral-List] NOAA Deep-Sea Coral Report to Congress - Now Online

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Coral Reef 
Conservation Program is pleased to announce the publication of the 2nd 
biennial /Report to Congress on the Implementation of the Deep Sea Coral 
Research and Technology Program 2008-2009/.

The Deep Sea Coral Research and Technology Program was called for in the 
2007 reauthorization of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and 
Management Act (16 U.S.C. 1801 et seq.).  The Program first received 
funding in fiscal year 2009.

This report, prepared in consultation with the Regional Fishery 
Management Councils, summarizes Program activities initiated in 2009.  
It also presents a brief synopsis of additional conservation actions 
that have taken place since the program's first Report to Congress was 
submitted in 2008.
