Job description.
A spatial-modellor is to be appointed for a minimum of 2.5 years (possibly extended beyond that) to work on mapping the resilience of coral reefs to climate change and design marine protected areas. The position will be focused heavily on the design of marine reserve networks in the Bahamas and will include theoretical studies as well as practical support to on-going conservation efforts by Bahamian agencies. Travel will take place to the Bahamas each year and it is expected that the analyst would also start working on projects in the Pacific, particularly on the Great Barrier Reef.

The analyst will join a diverse and lively research group at the University of Queensland, which is a leading institution for coral reef research, conservation biology, and marine reserve design.

Best wishes

Peter
