[Coral-List] Request for Biodiversity Sampling Methods

Can someone please direct me to an article (or articles) that describes the most widely accepted methods for collecting coral biodiversity data (species richness and abundance) on coral reefs? There are many methodologies that have been used, but I want to collect such data in as standardized a way as possible so data are temporally and spatially comparable with other studies. I appreciate your assistance.
