Dear Colleagues

There will be a special issue of the journal Diversity (ISSN ISSN 1424-2818, http://www.mdpi.com/journal/diversity<http://www.mdpi.com/journal/ijerph>) dedicated to coral reefs early next year entitled: "Coral Reef Diversity: Climate Change and Coral Reef Degradation. The website for this special issue can be found at http://www.mdpi.com/journal/diversity/special_issues/coral_diversity/.
I am looking forward to receiving manuscripts dealing with any aspect of diversity that fits with the theme of this issue.

The deadline for manuscript submissions is 30 April 2011. Manuscripts can be submitted anytime between now and the deadline. Manuscripts submitted early will be published shortly after acceptance. The Editorial Office has advised that the Open Access publication fee of 300 CHF (Swiss Francs) will be waived for papers submitted in 2010 (hint!).

This special issue will be fully Open Access. Open Access (unlimited and free access by readers) increases publicity and promotes more frequent citations as indicated by several studies. Open Access is supported by the authors and their institutes. More information is available at http://www.mdpi.com/about/openaccess/.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors before submitting a manuscript: http://www.mdpi.com/journal/diversity/instructions/. You may find the Word template available at this site useful. Manuscripts must be submitted through the online manuscript submission and editorial system at http://www.mdpi.com/user/manuscripts/upload/.

Diversity is a new international, peer-reviewed, Open Access journal, published quarterly by MDPI. It is a journal of Science and Technology, concerning diversity concepts and applications, diversity
assessment and diversity preservation. Because it is an online journal, papers published in Diversity will receive very high publicity. The first issue was released in September 2009.

MDPI publishes several peer-reviewed, Open Access journals listed at http://www.mdpi.com/. The Editorial Board members, including several Nobel Laureates (http://www.mdpi.com/about/nobelists/), are all leading active scholars.. All MDPI journals maintain rapid, yet rigorous, peer-review, manuscript handling and editorial processes. MDPI journals have increased their impact factors, see the recent Editorial "Continued Growth of the Impact Factors of MDPI Open Access Journals", http://www.mdpi.com/1420-3049/15/6/4450/.

If you have any questions, please contact me or the Editorial Office at: diversity at mdpi.com<mailto:diversity at mdpi.com>

Regards

Ray
