The B.R.E.A.M: Bermuda Reef Ecosystem Assessment and Mapping Programme at the Bermuda Zoological Society has mapped Bermuda's atlantic coral reefs at 2500:1 using a georeferenced aerial photomosaic and GIS software. We have also carried out extensive reef habitat surveys (>200 sites) across the entire reef platform to 30m using video transects, AGRRA and REEF surveys as well as drop-camera surveys. These studies are part of the Bermuda Biodiversity Programme at the Bermuda Aquarium Museum and Zoo, supported by the Bda Government and international funding sources including NOAA(USA) and DEFRA(UK), and allow us to provide policy and management guidance and direct conservation efforts across the range of hierarchical levels of the system.

You can see assorted maps and read descriptions of our research at: http://www.bermudaBream.org
