Coral molecular Genetics/Genomics/Bioinformatics Super Science Postdoctoral Fellowship: ARC Centre of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies

A Super Science Postdoctoral Fellowship position is available at James Cook University (Australia) for research on the molecular responses of the “model” coral Acropora to stress and immune challenge. Extensive molecular resources are now available for this coral, and the project will build on these to better understand the molecular mechanisms underlying key aspects of coral biology. The appointee will work in a dynamic group of post-docs and students in the leading coral biology research institution. The position will carry a level of academic independence commensurate with level of experience. Applicants must have graduated after 1 July 2008, have relevant research experience and an excellent publication record.

Employment Type: Appointment will be full-time for a fixed-term of 3 years subject to a probationary period.
