[Coral-List] Coral sampling

I was just wondering if I could get some advice/information on sampling techniques (specifically P. porites and P. divaricata, both in situ and in the lab) to be used for histological purposes.  Also, if anyone could provide links to academic papers concerning the growth and reproductive strategies of these "two" species it would be greatly appreciated (this is all for my thesis that I will hopefully be starting soon).
