I forgot to say that there is also a posting on Coralreef-freeforall on the 60 Minutes show on Cuba.  The post is entitled:

 "Pristine" reefs or functionally dead ones?: the role of overfishing

It points out that there may be a lot of big fish there, but the coral don't look too good.
