Hello All,

Coral spawning researchers were busy this summer making observations and conducting experiments in Florida, Belize, Curacao, Bonaire, Mexico, Puerto Rico, USVI, Colombia, Jamaica, and the Flower Garden Banks.

In August the following species were observed to spawn: Acropora palmata, A. cervicornis, A. prolifera, Diploria strigosa, Montastraea faveolata, M. franksi, Dendrogyra cylindris. In September Acropora palmata, Diploria strigosa, Montastraea faveolata, M. franksi, M. annularis, M. cavernosa, Dendrogyra cylindris were observd to spawn.

If you want specifics on when and where these species spawned, please go to the link below for complete details. If you observed spawning at a location not already reported on this spreadsheet, please add the details of your spawning observations (be very careful not to delete previous entries). We would like to include all monitoring efforts even if spawning did not occur. Those observations that are highlighted are missing some information.
