Post-doc in Quantitative Ecology

Applications are being accepted for a post-doctoral scholar with expertise in population and community ecology (preferably in, but not limited to marine systems) and quantitative methods (e.g., with skills in biomath or statistics).  The post-doc will be expected to conduct research using synthetic/meta-analytic tools and mathematical/simulation models, collaborate with other scientists, publish collaborative papers, teach one half of a course each year, and help mentor PhD students in Craig Osenberg’s lab (http://people.biology.ufl.edu/osenberg/) and the QSE3 IGERT program (http://www.qse3.centers.ufl.edu/) at the University of Florida.  Specific duties are negotiable.  The position can begin as early as 1 September 2013 and funding is expected to continue through at least 14 August 2016 (although the continuation of the position beyond year 1 remains contingent on performance and availability of funds).
