[Coral-List] Research Team Leader Position - Science to Support the Management of a Resilient Great Barrier Reef

The Australian Institute of Marine Science is seeking a senior scientist to lead one of four research teams with a focus on the health and resilience of the Great Barrier Reef. This senior role will manage a research team in delivering science to support management and policy decisions.


The successful applicant will demonstrate good systems understanding of coral reefs and environmental drivers and pressures that affect their health and resilience, and will display a keen interest in developing innovative solution-focused research with a multidisciplinary team of ecologists, modellers and decision scientists .


Applicants with significant postdoctoral experience in systems ecology, resource management and/or decision science and good knowledge of critical regional and global issues confronting coral reefs and other tropical marine ecosystems are encouraged to apply.


This is a permanent ongoing employment opportunity and will be based at our Townsville Research Facility in Queensland.
