Dear colleagues,

The graduate program of the Department of Marine Sciences, at the
University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez, offering M.S. and Ph.D. degrees, is
looking to fill a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor for a
 Quantitative Marine Ecologist. The position is available starting on
January 16, 2014.   A Ph.D. is required and since English and Spanish are
official languages at UPR, knowledge of both is desirable.  Salary
($62,256) can be augmented with external funding. The selected applicant is
expected to develop an active, extramurally funded research program, and to
supervise graduate students.  Teaching requirements include graduate level
courses in Quantitative Methods (including statistical approaches to Marine
Ecology and Biology), and in the candidate’s specific area of expertise.
