[Coral-List] Status of Caribbean Acropora - response

Mr. Precht,

I’m a graduate student here in southeast Florida studying fossil Acroporid
reef morphology and paleoecology, and I have been diving the area for a
while. As I’m sure you know *A. cervicornis *has proliferated quite
significantly off Broward County in recent years, but now, we have been
seeing it as far north as Boca Raton. Even small colonies of *A. palmata *have
been recently spotted off Broward County fairly close to shore.* * If I can
be of any help, let me know.
