I am sensing a low level of enthusiasm from members of the civil society in Caribbean island nations to participate in the upcoming UN Conference on Sustainable Development in SIDS in Samoa in September 2014 (www.sids2014.org)


Marine biodiversity, ecosystem service based management, coral reef conservation and blue carbon are some of the important issues for all SIDS.

Any marine research institutes from the Caribbean attending this conference?
