[Coral-List] importance of fish grazers in the Caribbean coral reef

Jeremy Jackson may be correct for some areas in the Caribbean but he is
wrong about Florida Keys Reefs. He should swim on now dead Carysfort
reef were there are no /Diadema/ but where hoards of Parrot fish are
nibbling the dead reef down to sand. Coral recruits do not have a chance
there. The same is true for all the other Keys reefs I have been
observing and photographing for the past 60 years. Gene
