Dear David,

I would suggest contacting Carl Meyer (http://www.hawaii.edu/himb/faculty/meyer.html) and colleagues over at the University of Hawaii, who have done some tagging and tracking work on Sharks and large fish in  MPAs and who know all about the futility of shark culls after attacks on humans. They might be able to help you with some more papers and evidence. Sadly, it might well be due to the lack of fish in and around La Reunion and it's MPA  that have led to more attacks... Sharks got to eat something!
