   Dear all,

The [1]SPAW-Regional Activity Center and the [2]Reserve Naturelle de
Saint-Martin (RNSM) are glad to share with you the news that the [3]BEST 2.0
programme portal is now live. Please explore the platform to find
information useful for applying for a grant, including [4]the operational
   manual, explanations about [5]small (<100 000 Euros) and [6]medium (< 400
000 Euros) grants, eligibility criteria, application procedure and
   [7]frequently asked questions.

The [8]BEST 2.0 grant programme is a funding facility, supported by the
European Commission, for sustainable development, biodiversity and
ecosystems conservation in the European Union Overseas Countries and
   Territories.
In the Caribbean region, the programme is open to Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao,
Saba, St-Eustatius, St-Maarten, Anguilla, Montserrat, Turks et Caicos,
British Virgin islands, Cayman islands and Saint Barthelemy.
Capitalizing on the BEST III initiative, the Best 2.0 programme will -
amongst others - support implementing actions in the Key Biodiversity Areas
identified through the participative Ecosystem profiles process led by the
   BEST knowledge hubs.

Stay tuned as the first calls for proposals will be launched in September,
starting with the [9]Medium grants for the Caribbean region. The submission
of proposals will be accepted through the portal*.

This is the first step of the BEST 2.0 grant Programme, which will
prioritize primarily the Small grants component. Therefore you can also get
ready for the next BEST 2.0 Small grant Call ... that will be launched early
   2016 in our region!

The SPAW-RAC and the RNSM are in charge of the BEST 2.0 Caribbean Hub.
Please get in touch with us for more information!

   [10]Julie Belmont - BEST 2.0 Project Officer
   [11]Romain Renoux - BEST III & BEST 2.0 Coordinator

   * The proposal form is not yet available on the website and the sections
where applicants can apply for a grant cannot yet be accessed. Applicants
will be able to access these as soon as the call for proposals is launched.

   Best regards,
   The BEST 2.0 Caribbean team
