Research Support (Marine Lab Supervisor)

•   Location: Honolulu, HI

•   Description: Under the supervision of the Kewalo Marine Lab (KML) Director, plan, manage & administer the physical-plant operations & maintenance. Responsible for the maintenance and repair of the laboratory building, equipment, facilities, and grounds Responsible for writing specifications for major building and facilities upgrades for regulatory, and/or bid submittals Responsible for building and facilities modifications to accommodate new research techniques. Ensures modifications comply with regulatory mandates: ie. building, trade, and safety codes. Responsible for obtaining permits from regulatory agencies: EPA, OSHA, NDPES, Clean Water Branch of the Hawaii Department of Health, and Public Works Responsible for security of facility.
